Happy Halloween, and welcome to Room 54's new blog!
The main idea of this blog is to review what we covered each day and for any comments/questions regarding the day's lessons can be addressed.
Today we went further into learning what an adaptation was. There are two types of adaptations: 1) Physical (a characteristic an animal or species is born with), 2) Behavioral (how an animal acts which can be instinctual or learned). We then applied this knowledge by drawing different environments and creating a monster, real or fake, that has adapted to the environment in both physical and behavioral ways.
Assignment:
Students are to create a monster for the environment that they drew. Students need to write 8 to 10 sentences that describe why their monster evolved in that manner.
Agenda:
Create a Halloween monster that adapted to your environment. Homework: 1 page written describing your monster's adaptations.
